At Tip Toppers, we want you to love your hat and toppers. We stand behind the quality of our proprietary hats and accessories, and we're committed to making things right if you're not completely satisfied.

Return Window

You have 30 days from the date of delivery to initiate a return. Returns must be requested within this timeframe to be eligible for processing.

What Can Be Returned

Standard (Non-Customized) Items

  • Unmodified hats in original condition
  • Unused accessories in original packaging
  • Full refund or exchange available

Customized Items

Due to the personalized nature of customized hats, returns are accepted only in the following circumstances:

  • Manufacturing defects (poor stitching, material flaws, etc.)
  • Incorrect customization (we made an error in your specifications)
  • Damaged during shipping (item arrived damaged)

Please note: Custom orders that were made according to your specifications cannot be returned for size, color preference, or design changes.

Return Condition Requirements

All returned items must be:

  • In original, unworn condition
  • Free from odors, stains, or damage
  • Accompanied by original tags and packaging
  • Include all accessories and components

How to Initiate a Return

  1. Contact us first: Email support@tiptoppers.com or call (555) TIP-TOPS within 30 days of delivery
  2. Provide your order number and reason for return
  3. Wait for authorization: We'll review your request and provide a return authorization number
  4. Ship it back: Use the prepaid return label we'll provide for defective or incorrect items

Return Shipping

  • Our error or defective items: We provide free return shipping
  • Customer preference returns (non-customized items only): Customer responsible for return shipping costs
  • Original shipping charges are non-refundable except for defective or incorrect items

Processing Time

  • Inspection: 3-5 business days after we receive your return
  • Refund processing: 5-7 business days to original payment method
  • Exchanges: 7-10 business days for replacement to ship

Exchanges vs. Refunds

Exchanges

  • Available for size or style changes on non-customized items
  • Customized items: exchanges only for manufacturing defects or our errors
  • Price differences may apply for upgrades

Refunds

  • Processed to your original payment method
  • Customization fees are non-refundable unless the error was ours

Non-Returnable Items

  • Custom hats made to your specifications (unless defective or incorrect)
  • Items damaged by normal wear
  • Items returned after 30 days
  • Items missing original tags or packaging
  • Items with signs of wear, odor, or staining

Damaged or Defective Items

If your hat arrives damaged or has manufacturing defects:

  1. Don't wear it - this helps us process your claim faster
  2. Take photos of the defect or damage
  3. Contact us immediately at support@tiptoppers.com
  4. Keep all packaging until we resolve the issue

We'll make it right with a replacement or full refund, plus we'll cover all shipping costs.

Special Circumstances

Gift Returns

  • Recipients can return items using the original order information
  • Refunds will be issued to the original purchaser's payment method
  • Gift receipts available upon request

International Orders

  • International customers are responsible for return shipping costs
  • Customs fees and duties are non-refundable
  • Processing times may be extended for international returns
